Talking with Shelagh Fogarty (on LBC)

The Daily Mail has been at it again. And so has the think tanks aiming their venom at trans people. What is it in these Daily Mail editors and writers experience that guided them to lose their humanity?

As a trans woman, I still find it difficult to deal with hate directed towards us, a minority of a minority of a minority. But having evolved mentally and emotionally far further than most, I can see that attacking your attackers just brings more attacks. When you act like your enemy, you become the enemy. That’s why I try to have compassion for those who haven’t been shown what true compassion and kindness is.

I had a chance to talk with Shelagh Fogarty on LBC about the headlines on the Daily Mail causing yet more problems for children (and adults) who wish to express themselves in ways that society deems inappropriate. Society hasn’t evolved at all during my lifetime, and in some ways, has devolved into tribal politics pitting one part of society against another.

The result is that those who are unable to look deeply within themselves to examine their unconscious bias are so easily manipulated by those who have agendas. The media keep calling it the Transgender Ideology as though this is something heinous. But ideology as a word is simply another word for belief. Politics is ideology, religion is ideology, science is ideology.
